RJ Kent, The Residences is owned by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133 and is available to both legion and non-legion members.

Chartered in 1934, Branch 133 has played a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of Port Coquitlam residents through financial contributions to hospitals, community groups and educational and bursary programs. Legion Branch 133 also supports youth sport leagues and troops such as Brownies, Girl Guides and Scouts.

The vision for RJ Kent, The Residences began almost a decade ago. In 1999, Branch members wanted to ensure the availability of affordable, comfortable supportive housing for seniors of the Port Coquitlam and Tri –City area. In 2003, Branch President, RJ Kent became involved and championed this project. His leadership and determination transformed this dream to reality. RJ’s passion was to give back to his community. In his 58 years, he gained the respect of everyone who knew him. RJ Kent, The Residences is named in his honor.
